Introduction
dsh-session-stars
Favorite complete DeepSeek Harness Sessions and reopen them from one global, cross-Workspace list. This is a Web-only DSH bundle that uses public additive slots and leaves the built-in Session browser unchanged.
Features
- Toggle a Session favorite from the current Session header.
- Open the Favorites center from the sidebar footer, including the collapsed sidebar rail.
- Browse all favorites in a shell overlay, ordered newest first, then reopen a live Session or remove an unavailable one.
- Keep same-origin browser tabs synchronized through the
storageevent. - Render current Session title, Workspace, running state, and archive state from live DSH snapshots instead of persisting stale copies.
Compatibility
Version 0.1.0 targets DeepSeek Harness Web 0.1.0-rc.6 and React 18. It has
no desktop or Host runtime component. Node.js ^22.19.0 || >=24.0.0 is needed
only when developing or packaging the plugin; normal use consumes the
prebuilt bundle.
Install
After publication, install the npm package into the Web profile:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-session-stars
After the public repository is available, install from GitHub:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:malevrigns/dsh-session-stars
Install a downloaded or locally packed tarball:
dsh plugin --profile web add C:\path\to\dsh-session-stars-0.1.0.tgz
Restart the Web profile after changing its plugin list. The exact start command depends on how that profile is normally launched; the plugin adds UI only when the Web app is running.
Enable, disable, and uninstall
The plugin is enabled when it is present in the profile. Add it to enable it; remove it to disable or uninstall it:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-session-stars
dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-session-stars
Removing the package from the profile does not erase saved favorite ids from browser storage.
Storage and privacy
Favorites are stored under dsh.session-stars.v1 in the Web app origin's
localStorage. Browser origins are isolated, so different browsers, devices,
hostnames, protocols, or ports do not share favorites. Same-origin tabs update
each other automatically.
Only a Session id and its favorite timestamp are stored. The plugin makes no network requests and does not read, store, or transmit API keys or provider configuration. If a saved Session no longer exists in the current DSH list, the Favorites center marks it unavailable and offers explicit removal; it never attempts to navigate to that stale id.
Development
pnpm install
pnpm test
pnpm typecheck
pnpm build
pnpm publint
pnpm pack
Build output is committed under lib/ so npm, GitHub, and tarball installs all
consume the same prebuilt runtime.
